The Making More Health Together platform (the “Platform”) is part of the Making More Health Together Event (the “Event”) organized by Boehringer Ingelheim Corporate Center GmbH (“Boehringer Ingelheim”) and Ashoka . The Platform shall facilitate: participants’ attendance in the collaboration of mutual projects, access to information and materials shared by Boehringer Ingelheim, partners and participants, connecting with other participants including the possibility to schedule meetings and start collaborations on mutual projects, before, during and after the Event. (the “Services”).

Your Registration and Agreement

Access to and use of the Platform and the Services are subject to the following Terms of Use as well as our Data Privacy Statement regardless of the place of access.

By placing a check next to “I agree to the Terms of Use“ and clicking on the “Send“ button, the user agrees to these Terms of Use, thereby entering into a legally binding contract with Boehringer Ingelheim under the provisions of these Terms of Use.

User will ensure that the data provided by him/her within the registration process are correct, complete and up to date. In the event of any future changes, user will update these data. User may access the Platform exclusively with his own person-related access data (email address and password). User shall keep the access data secret and may not make them accessible to third parties. User is obligated to notify Boehringer Ingelheim without delay whenever he/she becomes aware of any third-party obtaining knowledge of his/her access data.

Use of the Platform and the Services

User agrees that any activities on the Platform and the use of the Services will not:

  • a) violate any applicable law (including, but not limited to those, related to data protection/privacy and antidiscrimination);
  • b) be obscene, offensive, blasphemous, unlawful, threatening, hateful, menacing, abusive, harmful, defamatory, illegal or otherwise objectionable;
  • c) infringe any copyright, trademark, trade secret, patent or other intellectual property right of any third party or to facilitate the unlawful distribution of copyrighted content or illegal content;
  • d) contain any advertising or promotional material relating to Boehringer Ingelheim or third-party prescription drugs and other products;
  • e) disclose any sensitive content such as personal data of other third parties (including other users) or information classified as confidential;
  • f) transmit any data or send or up-load any material that contains viruses, codes, worms, Trojan horses, time bombs, cancelbots, or any harmful computer programs that may damage the operation of the Platform or the Services.
Use of Content

All content on the Platform provided by Boehringer Ingelheim is the property of the Boehringer Ingelheim group of companies or its licensors and is protected by copyright. We permit you to use texts, documents or parts hereof (such as white papers, news releases, datasheets and FAQs) through the Platform, provided that (1) this notice appears in all copies and that, in particular, both the copyright notice and this permission notice appear, (2) use of such documents from this Platform is for informational, media and non-commercial or personal use only and the documents will not be copied or posted on any medium available to third parties including but not limited to third party websites or broadcast in commercial media, and (3) no modifications of any documents are made. Use for any other purpose is expressly prohibited and may result in severe civil and criminal penalties. Violations will be prosecuted.

Permission given above does not include the use of the design or layout of the Boehringer Ingelheim Platform or any other website owned, operated, licensed or controlled by one of the companies of the Boehringer Ingelheim Group. Elements of these websites are protected by copyright, trade dress, trademark, unfair competition, and other laws and may not be copied or imitated in whole or in part. Disputes and Complaints

The Boehringer Ingelheim Group is a member of the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers & Associations (“IFPMA”) that represents research-based biopharmaceutical companies and regional and national associations across the world. IFPMA advocates policies and practices that encourage the discovery of and access to life-saving and life-enhancing medicines and vaccines, for people everywhere. All disputes complaints relating to this website or these Terms of Use shall as far as applicable and possible be dealt with under the IFPMA Code of Practice that can be downloaded on the IFPMA website.

Any other dispute shall be governed exclusively by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, except for the provisions of international private law, and shall be settled by the courts competent for the place of the registered seat of Boehringer Ingelheim.

Availability, Suspension and Termination of Access

User shall have no right to constant availability of the Platform. Boehringer Ingelheim may at any time, and without notice, change (extend or restrict), suspend or terminate any part of the Platform or the Services, in its sole discretion.

In justified individual cases, Boehringer Ingelheim may restrict or interrupt your access to the Platform, particularly if this is expedient to maintaining or securing the operation of the Platform or if there is a suspicion that the user has failed to comply with these Terms of Use or applicable law. In the latter case, at Boehringer Ingelheim’s discretion, your content uploaded on the Platform may be removed and you will be prohibited from re-registration.

Changes

Boehringer Ingelheim reserves right to change these Terms of Use and the Data Privacy Statement, in its sole discretion, at any time and without prior notification. We must therefore ask you, next time you visit this Platform, to view the conditions again and to note any changes or amendments that may have been made. If you continue to access and use the platform after the effective date of the revised conditions, you will be deemed to have accepted those changes. If you do not agree to the revised conditions, your sole remedy shall be to discontinue using the Platform.
